Somme

For an ideal holiday, camp in this natural location steeped in history : the "Hauts de France" region (formerly Picardy)

The preserved and natural aspect of the Somme makes this department an unavoidable touristic destination. The wide beaches will provide you with many activities such as windsurfing, water sports (kite surfing, paddle, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, etc)... Discover the bay of the Somme, the Bay of Authie, the canal of the Somme from Péronne to Saint Valéry via Amiens.

The Somme is also a department with an exceptional historical heritage : the Notre Dame d'Amiens cathedral, Abbeville with its magnificent belfry and the Saint-Vulfran collegiate church, Valloires and its abbey, the history of the Great War in Péronne, the British memorial in Thiepval. As for the castles, there are lots to visit, such as the castles of Rambures, Navette, Picquigny, Long, Folleville, Digeon... Not forgetting Le Crotoy (where Joan of Arc was imprisoned), a few minutes from the La Prairie campsite.
